Chicago knives are a good quality product, a nice middle-of-the-road step between Farberware (which is too expensive for its poor quality) and Wustof (which is well worth the money but out of the price range of many). Amazon had by far the lowest prices on the sets, and with free shipping the deal got even better. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a solid set of knives that will last at least a few decades. Also, the in-block sharpener is incredibly convenient.

This is a great knife set for the money. It is sleek looking and the knives are easy to hold for my small hands. The knives arrive razor sharp. I like that you only have the basics; everything I need is in a small holder. It takes little room on the counter.

Beautiful set, sharp and so far, very good quality. It cuts like butter and I really hope they hold up for a lifetime. If not, I hope that lifetime warranty is as good it promises. I've only hand washed and dried these they're never touching a dishwasher.

I am pleased with this set and think the price was good. A very useful selection of knives are included and it has a built-in sharpener, which is handy. The knives feel nice in your hand and are nicely balanced. Other comments complained about rust spots. I have not put these in the dishwasher; I've been washing them by hand, which I don't mind, and have not noticed any rust or other discolorations. Again, for the price, this is a nice set that includes all the main knives you need.
