I first used this paring knife on some steaks I grilled. It was perfect! The blade is very high quality, stainless steel, and has a non-stick coating. This also works great on tomatoes to peel and slice without bursting the tomato. The ergonomic handle is awesome! It has a nice soft grip that allows you to ensure optimal precision cutting and control. Plus, it's dishwasher safe, so clean up is really is. There's also a protective cover so you can store it safely and take it with you to your next BBQ or picnic!

Overall, the Zyliss Serrated Paring Knife does a great job. The rubberized grip on the handle is very comfortable and makes the knife easy to hold. It's the perfect size for an all-purpose paring knife, and it's nice and sharp (and won't require sharpening in the future, which is great!). The protective slip that comes with it is really nice, particularly if you keep your knives in a drawer instead of a block.

The only negative thing I have to say (and this is more personal preference than anything) is that the knife is a little too light-weight, and that combined with the plastic handle gives the knife a cheaper feel than other heftier knives. Other than that, though, I really do like this knife and think it's been a great addition to my kitchen.

The knife looks as sharp as it is. The serrated blade easily cuts through tough skins and makes paring a snap.
