Carl Schmidt Professional 8-Piece Knife Set

My husband was not sold on the "no sharpen" necessary and I have no idea what a good Knife set really is but based on the price and ratings and description, I took my chances. I never thought I would use my huge cleaver but within two days of owing this set I was chopping cooked chicken breast to make a chicken salad. It was pretty AWESOME! Very sharp and heavy but functional. With great ease I was able to chop the stew out of this chicken. So pleased!

This set is perfect for the price. Very nice to have a set that is affordable. The only thing is if you are not careful the scissors come apart. Other than that worth the money!!

I bought this knife set for my wife and she is an avid fan of serrated knives and this set includes 6 of them.

Besides having a good balanced weight, the knives are sharp (my wife managed to cut herself the first time she used one, and she's a seasoned cook). They've got a high quality look to them, and the block that stores them takes up less counter space than others I've seen without losing its utility or style.

I've given these knives 5 stars, with the exception of "durability", however, since my wife used them for only 5 months now, let see how long it will last.
