Buy Swissmar Girolle Cheese Scraper Now
I chose this rating because I have yet to find a cheese that this " Cheese Scraper " will SCRAPE!!! Instead, repeated attempts produce a cheesy mess that is too crumbled or a mushy mess unfit to serve. I've tried soft cheese, hard cheese, and many in between, any and every round cheese I could find.I saw a scraper demonstrated at a wine and cheese pairing at a Winery in Amador County, California which did a fantastic job scraping cheese into a beautiful, inviting presentation. Could it have been the same as the 2 I purchased, or a different, superior product? Please recommend cheeses and identify where I can purchase appropriate cheeses to be used with Swissmar Girolle, otherwise my 2 Scrapers are TOTALLY useless!!!!
I await your response and will change my rating after receiving recommended cheese suggestions which willI knew the apparatus I wanted, but was unaware the dome had to be purchased separately. At the price paid it was expected. Then the real "downer". The ad does say that a certain Swiss cheese is used (at an unholy price) but it does NOT say that almost no other cheeses can be used because of shape or texture. I tried a dry Havarti and ended up with a mess. I'm still hunting for some cheese that is a match to the machine and also right shape and perhaps great tasting.
