i have knivesgood knives, bad knives,expensive knives, cheap knives. i don't know why but i like to keep buying kitchen knives. i read an article about the schmidt bros and their foray into the knife businessintrigued i purchased a set of steak knives wondering what to expect. well, my wife and i loved the look and feel of them, but more importantly they are well made, feel great in your hand, and are sharp. so i decided to start purchasing different pieces at a timt, this being the first. this is a forged slicing knife that also feels right in your hand. whe i received it i oiled the handle and honed the bladethis knife is sharp and cuts slices of ham you can read throughanother winner, so i have ordered their mofotoku knife and happily await its arrival. if you are looking for quality knives without having to get a second mortgage for the set try these. yes, they are put together in china, but this is good german steel and well crafted cutlery. yes, every bit as nice as my henckels or wusthof. i know, i know you doubt itjust get one of their forge series(there are more than one) and see if you are not impressed. i will continue to add their knives to my collection.
