Knife Sharpening Steel 12 inch

It's 12" with the handle. I could have liked it anyway it has a nice handle. I have a new knife that needed a sharpen so I used this steel. I used it proper I'm a 26th year chef. The steel rod has the thin grooves steels usually have but, the rod kept grabbing my edge funny and the rod got marred slightly. Newer knife and all I figured the steel rod has got too soft of steel or something. My edge catches on it and this is not good.

Yes it's, cheap. And it is just that. Spend more money and get a better steel than this one.

I got this on time, The steel is good and work good, but the one of the problem I have is the wood handle, since it arrive I noticed the handle is bending.

It's really good. Technically a honing steel, not a real sharpener, but that's what I was looking for. The only issues I have are that the piece of metal that is supposed to protect your hands spins, so it could be a little dangerous for some, and that the guard is a bit small for larger handed people.

No real experience with steels,a little rough but seems to work good for my chef knife also worked good at removing some burs from some new Thai Kiwi stamped knives I just received now they are super sharp.
