Worked fine but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Works a little better if you can sharpen right before using. For the price you can't really beat it though.
I bought this set at Wegmans discounted after the holidays for even less and have no clue how it can be sold for under $10 with a full tang knife and fork. It wasn't sharp outta the box but took a razor edge in a few minutes since it is high carbon but that also means NO DISHWASHER HAND WASH AND DRY.. So many people are unaware of this and blame the product for rusting after they just toss cutlery in the dishwasher which not only causes rust but dulls the edge and the heat ruins the handles causing cracks so don't buy this if that is your intention otherwise take a couple minutes hand caring and it will last forever.
