Unless you are using this to chop something small, with a very small knife, the sides of the cutting board keep your knife from completely touching the entire surface of the board. I like the concept, but you can't cleanly cut something that isn't on a completely flat surface.
This is a decent chop board but I was expecting the "scoop" part to be pliable/bendable. Reminds me more of a counter/food-worthy dustpan. Great material for knives; it is well made and works well -just more shovel-like for canners, stockpots and open grills.

Wonderful product. If you love to cook, the Chop and Scoop is a must. Although, you can chop on it, a regular chopping board is better. I have several, using them primarily for prepped vegetables, meat, etc. The 11x15 holds multiple ingredients and with a swipe of the hand, they slide easily into the pan. No more multiple prep bowls to wash! The chop and scoop does well in the dishwasher. It's definitely a staple in my kitchen.

I thought it way too small the actual surface that you could chop would be about 5 x 10... I was going to return it ... but
my daughter
loved it for she thought it perfect for chopping things for omelets

This is absolutely the best cutting board I have used. The texture of the surface is excellent, not too smooth and not too rough. The sides are curved to avoid spilling but the cutting area is flat enough that it does not cause issues. Also, with glass or granite cutting boards I fear that I am damaging my knives, wood and bamboo cannot go in the dishwasher so I am not sure that they are ever very clean.
The only thing I might change if I could would be to make a small pour spout area on one of the corners to pour off excess liquids but keep the food on the board more effectively though it works fairly well the way it is designed.
I highly recommend this board!
