Victorinox 49000 Firestone Manual 2-Stage Ceramic Knife Sharpener and Honing Tool

This is a great quick sharpener. While it is not a diamond honing bar it is a very quick and effective way to maintain an edge on your knife. I am a career chef and so having sharp blades is a must for me and while i would never use this on my high end blades but it works for my abused blades (blades i butcher with, in case they chip on a bone... i don't want to lose a pricey knife to a bone!) However, with that said it didn't seem to last very long, maybe 2 to three months is all. To be fair through i used it more than an average chef would because i work in a kitchen and so it did its job well and for the price it was more than satisfactory. I would recommend it to friends for cheap stamped blade sharping but i would never use it on expensive forged blades.

This is a great easy to use sharpener. It keeps my knives in alignment as I sharpen, so that I get the right edge and keep them sharp
