B&D Slice Right Electric Knife

It seems that my product could be defective, because you literally have to hold in the lock button and down on the power button while you cut. Kind of hard to do. I'll be getting a different one next time.

No problem with sharpness, but trouble is, the knife not held firmly enough at base of blades. When you cut (bread) the knife "wanders" and does not cut straight down.

It needs re-engineering to keep the blades secure at their base.

I had this out for the first time to carve the Christmas turkey. I tried one slice and went to storage to retrieve my 20 year old Hamilton Beach which did much, much better. This knife should not be on the market. It is unfortunate that the leadership and B&D don't try out their own products. If they did, they'd terminate this knife for the bad it does to the trademark. I'll stay with Hamilton Beach.

This electric knife you purchased during the month of September and use it in a manner consistent in my restaurant, so far I am paying more this time than other brands.
