Always wanted to get a ceramic peeler, but was looking at some reviews that complained about the lightweight plastic handles for most of the ceramic peelers sold.I actually think it's a great feature. Granted it does not feel as sturdy, but I prefer the lightweight feel, as it makes gripping and peeling much easier on my hand and forearm, as I find that I do not grip as hard and there's less heft to move around, especially when you are peeling fruits or vegetables.
I could understand the need for "heft" if you are doing some chopping of bones or slabs of meat with a meat cleaver, but for peeling fruits and vegetables, I prefer the opposite.

Once you have this peeler out of box, it looks cheap, but...once you use it, you feel the perfect work, the perfect peel of potatoes and carrot, and other vegetables. Got new kitchen? tired of steel (and rusted) peelers? get this one for good!Want Shenzhen Knives Ceramic Peeler Discount?
The Shenzhen Peeler, does take some getting used to for a couple of reasons:1) Horizontal blade. Normally there is a vertical blade in steel peeler, however I actually like the horizontal alighment as it makes it easier to peel potatoes (you don't have to bend your wrist as much or twist the potato)
2) Lightweight. For those who are used to the heavy rubber steel peelers, than this peeler is not for you. But the lightweight design makes it more maneuverable
Not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about when it comes to thick peels. I noticed no difference between my steel peeler and ceramic peeler. It's actually very thin and not at all thick peels, but I think one person was a very picky foodie type (you can't please everyone I guess!) And not sure if the other reviewer was correct in his assertion that 1/3 of the weight was peeled off, as intuitively, 1/3 of the weight is an awful lot of peelings and doesn't make sense to me personally. It might be where they are using too much pressure when they peel, as this peeler is very SHARP, so you can use a light stroke and still get the job done.
