Ever since I admired my friend's beautiful flatware at a party a few years ago, I have been looking for a unique set of flatware, combining sleek styling, a nice weight, and something distinct that you wouldn't see just anywhere. I spent a lot of time looking online. I actually bought one set prior to discovering Aquatique Ice but I had to send it back because the knives and forks were elongated for styling purposes, but they were dysfunctional because they were so long. Aquatique Ice is just perfect. You cannot go wrong buying this set of flatware. They are elegant for a dinner party or just for having a cup of yogurt. The teaspoons are small--a perfect size for a teaspoon and for special desserts or stirring coffee. The soup spoons are definitely a contrast, longer and larger. The knives are an elegant longer length, graceful and perfect. The dinner fork is elongated, but not too much, just enough to be graceful and beautiful. The salad forks are smaller but not dainty. Every piece is perfectly styled, and has the subtle ice finish on the face and the shiny finish on the rest. My sister, who has very picky taste, complemented me on how lovely they are. If you are trying to decide on whether or not to buy these, do not think any longer--YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY WITH AQUATIQUE ICE -I PROMISE! (The knives are not serrated so I always use steak knives for meat, but I always have done that anyway. Just so you know if that is a deal-Yamazaki Aquatique ICE 5 Piece Placesettingbreaker for you and you have to have serrated knives, you'll have to get some other set--but it won't be as nice! :)
