Wusthof blade guard 12 carver

I had several older guards that are made just like this but lack the flocking on the inside. They are a little stiff and hard to put on and take off the knife. The flock/felt lining on this does the opposite direction. Very easy to put on and very easy to slide off, even when you don't want it too. Not that it just falls off, but it can slide off part of the blade when in the drawer and getting knocked around or if you are taking the knife along to use elsewhere you might want to wrap a rubber band around it.

Nice, but next time I think I will stick to the unflocked versions. They don't mar the blade or cause any issues with the steel.

I really like the fact that these are felted on the inside, preventing scratches to your knives. This cover fits the 12 inch salmon slicer perfectly, and almost completely covers the wusthof gourmet 12 inch slicer.

This is a well made blade guard. The inside of the guard has a fabric coating and while nice, it's probably unnecessary and makes this a little more expensive that all plastic guards that work just as well.

Wasn't sure exactly what material would be like for the blade guard and was very pleasantly surprised! The item is sturdy and I know will last a long time. The carver blade fits perfectly, protecting both the blade and our hands!
