These are really great knives. They are plastic handled, and they aren't "pretty", but if you can get them on sale, as I did, for around 8 bucks a knife, you can use them without worrying you are going to nick them. I will not use my Shun near bones, because I don't want to damage the bladebut these? They were so cheap I don't care. So far, they have proven very robust. I've cut near a lot of bones with them (cutting apart a crown roast of pork, for example) and no damage! I really love these. I was afraid to buy them because they had not been reviewedbut I took the chance because they were cheap.This knife is one amazing knife, the best boning knife I have used to cut off the fat off the brisket and the silver skin.
