Wusthof Classic Ikon 3-Piece Kitchen Knife Set, Black

Great kitchen knives--price was reasonable, and the knives are razor sharp, have great weight and balance, and I cannot imagine how you would improve these knives.

They are much sharper and a bit lighter than my Wusthof Classic set that I have had now since I got married 43 years ago. and the Ikon fillet knife that I bought separately is the best. This is not to knock the Classic set they are still going strong but if I had a choice of only one I would buy the Ikon.

I bought this set to replace some lower quality knives that were failing in just about every way. My wife and I were starting to cook more at home and after a lot of research ended up going with the Classic Ikon line from Wusthof. The build quality for all three of the knives in this package is exceptional. The 8" Chef's knife is heavy but well weighted and comfortable to hold. The pairing knife is comfortable and easy to maneuver allowing for precise cuts of smaller foods. I didn't think I was going to get much use out of the carving knife except around "turkey time" but have actually ended up using it quite a bit. Its great for cutting larger fruits like melons and pineapples. The knives all hold a their edge well. I have had the set for over a year and they have only required honing on occasion, no sharpening yet. Amazon delivery and packaging were great as always.

I would definitely recommend these knives to anyone who enjoys cooking and prep work that goes with it.

Beautiful set of knives. Good steel and they'll take a screaming sharp edge with some sharpening and proper care. Would definitely recommend them.
