This knife arrived with a good edge on it, and the handle fits my hand for doing small things like stemming strawberries, quartering apples and other fruits. The blade is thin, as a birdbeak should be--and so a person should be respectful of what the knife can do and cannot do in order to avoid overstressing the blade and putting a ripple in the cutting edge. Good knife, bottom line.
I have found this to be an excellent knife and easy to hang on to with the handle shaped like it is. Price is right on it as well.
