Slitzer® 15-Pc. Cutlery Set with Wood Block

My parents have owned this set for years, and growing up and even now I use them when I'm at their place. I think they are good knives. Sturdy. We have never had a problem with them. Dishwasher safe. About the only problem was having to resharpen them, but what knives don't you have to resharpen after years of use? I am purchasing this set for myself.

I bought this set thinking I will have a variety of different knives to use when I cook. However, the knives began to rust within a month of use. I always dry my knives on the drying rack before putting them back into the wood block after washing, but they still rusted. The blades were too dull to be useful for chopping things like carrots and potatoes. Also, the wood block is huge and takes up a lot of space. If you have a small kitchen, you might want to consider other options.

Packing appeared as though the products were packaged individually and then thrown into a box that did not hold the items inside secure. Further, the knives arrived dull and the shears where broken.Lastly, I hand wash my knives and the black handles are already fading after 3 washes. Very disappointed with the quality and who really wants to support China anyways, I have a set from Chicago cutlery that are still not the best but way better than these.
