Steak Knife 5

OK, this is a really good steak knife. The handle is a nice, square, secure to grip with your hand. I find that it is just as good on humungous steaks as skinny ones. The blade is high carbon stainless steel that is just as good as Japanese or German ones that cost 4 or 5 times as much. Now that I am used to it, the fancy steak knives that expensive steak houses supply are pale and inefficient in comparison.

However, that is not the reason I give it such a high rating. I find it to be a fabulous prep knife: soft, heritage tomatoes, cooked veggies, fruit, bread and sandwich rolls, anything that is soft. For me, this is just as essential as my big chef knife.
