Victorinox 10-Inch Chef's Knife, Rosewood Handle

Was in need of a new knife and I read great reviews on the Victorinox brand. A review from Lifehacker.com was what sent me searching for a good deal. The knife is incredibly sharp and easy to handle. The only drawback I see from this particular knife is that it is on the lighter side. Also the blade isn't full tanged stopping about a centimeter from the end of the handle and the rosewood handle isn't as nice as I thought it would have been. Feeling on the cheaper side. Aside from that it cuts like no other.

I purchased this knife as a gift for a family member who loves to cook. He tells us that it is the best knife he has and uses it for just about everything he must prepare to serve up a dish. The quality is exceptional. He says he can highly recommend it for any serious cook.

I've owned this for over 15 years and it's been a wonderful knife. It's not a forged knife but the blade lasts and lasts and it is very attractive and comfortable to use. Outside of television cooking shows this is the knife you will see in more commercial kitchens then any other from the best white table cloths to the docks, forschner/ victorinox are winners.

I've had one of these for over 40 years and it has been and is the best knife I own. Of any kind. Despite the cautions forty years of dishwashers have only made the handle lighter in color and more comfortable. Now my niece has one too.

Great knife, VERY Sharp. Buy a nice cutting board (wood NOT plastic) and keep your knives sharp. I purchased a few Vicorinox Rose Wood handle knives and they are beautiful and VERY sharp. They are unlike any knife I have ever owned. I cannot over state how sharp these knives are. The other Victorinox knoves I bought are: Boning Knife, 6 in Straight, Victorinox 7-Inch Granton Edge Santoku Knife, Victorinox Forschner 2.25-in. Bird's Beak Peeling Knife, Victorinox Forschner Rosewood 14-in. Bread Knife, and Victorinox Forschner Rosewood 4.75-in. Utility Knife. I found most(a better assortment) of the knives at cutleryandmore.com and better pricing than Amazon.
