I fell in love with this at first sight -it resonates with my rather odd sense of humor, I guess. I decided to take a chance on it -I needed a set of decent knives for my "home away from home," and after reading the reviews, I ordered.

It's very sturdy -heavy plastic, it arrives in two pieces, and it takes only seconds to mount the figure onto the base.

The knives are very good quality, nicely weighted stainless steel. The "block" has heavy clear plastic sleeves in back to protect both the knives and the user, and the knives are secured in place with hidden magnets that "grab" each knife as it is slipped in place -nice safety feature.

This is a fairly large unit -14+" tall, about 8-9" in diameter. I purchased the white one, to work with the rest of my counter-top appliances, but it comes in several other colors (red, green, black, chrome).

This would be a great housewarming gift for a divorced friend.

All I have to say is that this knife set is the S-word. Once I found out about it, I knew that I needed one in my life. I've recieved countless compliments and questions from guests who come to my house, and it serves as a great conversation piece. And the knives are great too! Stainless steel, and definately sharp enough to do the job. An awesome gift for anyone who's into this sort of thing, and kinda even likes cooking.

I bought this more as an art piece for my girlfriend. The knives seem to be able to cut stuff although they aren't top notch. It's a hard plastic with non-removable translucent sheaths that stick out of the back.

Okay I had no need for knives as I already had a set but I saw these on here and had to order them! These fit perfectly on my counter, the plastic sleeves are great for safety reasons and how I have them situated on my counter top you really can't see that part of them. Everyone that has seen them freak out at how fabulous they are! The knives themselves are awesome too. You can't lose, a great conversation piece and a really nice set of knives. Get them...don't think twice!

Knives are pretty decent with a good variety. They go in and out of their holder very easily. This is a fun holder to have on your counter, it always brings a comment and some pointing the first time your bring a guest over.
