It's a bit expensive, but it's also a one-of-a-kind knife. It comes with a very well made carrying box and a belt holder. It's a lockback design, when fully opened it locks into place with absolutely no play from front to back or side to side. It's good steel and comes with a razored edge, but it's not Shun's 32 layer "damascus" steel disappointing. Overall a great collector's piece.

What a pleasure to use a knife rather than a saw when dining out. I am amazed at what some very good and very expensive restaurants provide for cutting beef, lamb, pork, etc. By the time you apply enough pressure and take enough strokes to carve a bite size piece so much of the taste has been lost.
