Haven't used it yet but looks like the traditional waiters corckscrew but with an extra hinge. Only issue I had was I ordered the burgundy and what I received looks red. I'll keep it though.

for this based on all the reviews and was disappointed with how skinny it is...there is very little heft to it (and it's a bit small for my hand) which gives it the feel of a Dollar General special. But being as basic as it is, it works and if it doesn't fall apart or the finish peel off over the next decade then what more can you ask of it.

Love the 2 stage pulling mechanism. Makes pulling corks VERY easy, even synthetic corks which are notoriously hard to pull. Am buying another one to give to a friend.
