First, the shears: not quite as good as normal kitchen shears: the angles are little odd for me.
The knives:
Steak knives: these are the main purpose we bought this for. They are good, cut through steaks like they ought to. The grip feels nice and the edge has held for the first few months.
The cook knives: these are not as good as another brand bought at a local warehouse club. The balance feels off. If some highly skilled person takes offense, it may be that I am used to a brand bought at a local warehouse club and those are wrong...but these feel like the weight comes back too much to the handle.
The edges are good. The handles feel solid but not comfortable. Consistent use across the past few months has dulled them somewhat, but they have sharpened easily.
