The shape of this spoon was perfect for our 16 month old because it was oval and fit into her mouth easily. So many baby spoons are very round and either way shallow or way deep and they bump the edges of baby's mouth and the food falls off, etc. This was perfectly oval and was just deep enough to have a nice-sized bite (but not so deep that baby's lips didn't clear the food off).Unfortunately, it only receives 2 stars because the spoon handle became discolored after only 2 weeks of use. It started with a small spot and spread all over the spoon's handle within a week. Although the spoon says it's dish-washer safe, I hand washed mine every time, so I know it got good care.
