Every kitchen needs a knife dedicated to breads only so that the blades stay true. I have had a few bread knives and this Wusthof is a bargain for an inexpensive knife. Great kitchen basic investment and knife for a gift!

I use it for bread and tomatoes. Oh, and lemons and limes. It's pretty sharp and a good cutter for the price. Not heavy or fancy but I really don't think it matters here; It's not the prettiest girl at the dance, just a better than average bread knife.
