This works great and no rust marks either. I usually cut off all the old stuf when I get a head of Romain and let the head sit in a full sink of cold water. You will be amazed how crips it turns out over night. Wrap your clean head in paper towels and a plastic wrap and it will last for a while in the refrig. You can repeat the cycle every few days...remove the old rust and soak and wrap..my salads never go bad and they are always very crisps.
