This Henckels apple corer is made in China not Germany.

The tool looks strong and feels strong when you use it.

The tool arrived with no damage.

I rated three star because the tool has a workmanship issue.

The handle and the cutting part do not form a straight line.

It should be straight since it is used for a straight cutting action.

I purchased after a number of less expensive corers, and although it cost twice as much it is easily 4 times better. The cheaper models twist and bend or it is near impossible to dislodge the core after using it. Not with the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pure Apple Corer. It is solid and strong and glides right through the apple and then the core comes right out. FABULOUS!

This is a Heavy Duty Tool, for sure. My daughter in law wanted this brand specifically, so we ordered it. It is heavy weight (tho Not overly so) but I am sure it will put the intended dent in Any apple or pear!! Beware all Cores!! You are done for!! I have a different, good, ergonomic brand which works well enough but I'm core-envious of this one now.
