It really does make a big difference, both in the ease of the cut and the straightness. Only tiny shreds stick to the blade, and only at the top. The handle is comfortable to hold and the knife feels well-balanced.

I haven't yet used the prongs on the end for picking up bits of cheese, but they look cool, so what the heck.

This was my first experience with a cheese knife of this type, so I don't know if the problem I have with slicing is universal to this style of knife or not. When I cut a piece of cheese from a large block, like a 2 lb. size, the knife just will not cut a straight line. The blade is too flimsy to go straight. I'm back to cutting with my butcher knife.
