Faberware Annatto Satin 45-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8

I thought, because of the low price, this flatware set would not be of very good quality, but fine for everyday use. I was pleasantly surprised that this set not only exceeded my expectations, but the care and upkeep is fabulous. Does not water-stain at all in the dishwasher,(we have extremely hard water) and the set is also quite heavy. It doesn't bend and is quite sturdy. I highly recommend this set and would buy it again.

There is not much that needs to be said about this set. They look good, are comfortable in the hand and are very durable. Unlike some cheaper sets, there are no machining errors on these such as unfinished sharp edges on spoons or nicks and pitting. I bought these to replace my old set of Faberware, which had lasted years. However, they had met the sink disposable many times and needed replacing mainly from issues like that, not from a manufacturer defect. I would have no problem recommending these to someone.

For the money, this set is just okay. It isn't as heavy as I was anticipating, actually a little flimsy. They look really nice, but just don't feel particularly durable.

You get what you pay for. This set gives you a service for 8 at a cheaper price than a lot of services for 4. I fell for the bargain and while it "serves" the purpose ... it's definitely as cheap in quality as the price would indicate. The bands at the head of the stem are not particularly well defined; the difference between the "brushed" handles and the regular shiny tines, bowls, knife edges above the bands isn't very distinct. The pieces don't have a lot of heft to them but I wouldn't say they were flimsy either. They seem to be fine going through the dishwasher (even with hard water). Simply put ... this flatware does the job but they don't really impress.
