I like the feel of this corkscrew: easy to grip and cushioned in a rubbery way. I have had this gadget for over a year now, purchased it to keep in a picnic basket but it found its way to a permanent home in the gadget drawer. It is now the wine opener I reach for first, althoughI I also like my Swingaway "wing" type opener (nothing stylish but a reliable performer that is easy to use for even those with hand strength challenges.) The red Pedrini corkscrew is cute, petite but still feels nice in the hand, and besides being a reliable performer is durable. It was lost from our drawer for a period of about two months... Eventually turned up in our backyard in the garden where it had been exposed to Midwest summer weather. Had a little almost-rust in parts but still performs smoothly, and I had missed it while it was gone. Would definitely order this little helper again.
