I got just what I wanted out of this knife. It has a great edge that has no problem going through fruit and vegetable skins. It has a great handle that is thick and contoured, this gives a very positive feel and good control while using it. It's not like other flimsy peelers that have a skinny handle that slips in your hand, with a wimpy blade that flexes even on the easiest cuts. This is a real culinary tool, and it looks like it will last a long long time.
The absurd price, the feel in my hand, the sharpness and its one piece stainless steel design made this a delightful kitchen addition.
