Victorinox 7-1/2-Inch Wavy Edge Chef's Knife/Carver, Rosewood Handle

I have a friend who's a chef and I've always loved his kitchen knives, but I figured they must be some crazy expensive specialty items that only a hard-core chef would invest in. One day while our families were at a get-together I commented on how much I loved this knife I was using and he told me that not only was it an awesome knife, but it was so cheap; less than $38! I immediately ordered one, along with a sharpening steel. I have to say it's the best money I've spent in the kitchen in a long time. The expression 'cuts through like butter' is right on the money with this one. Awesome. I also picked up a 'Victorinox 47302 Cutlery BladeSafe for 6-Inch to 8-Inch Knife Blades' blade sheath for it (which also works great), as I was a bit paranoid of just popping it into a drawer for fear of slicing a finger or damaging the blade with it just sitting loose with the other utensils. Long story long, get this knife... you won't be sorry.
