Pedrini Wine & Bar Pocket Waiter's Corkscrew Soft Grip

Pedrini Wine & Bar Pocket Waiter's Corkscrew Soft GripI know there are several ways to open a bottle of wine, but the waiter's corkscrew will always be the best and most reliable method. This corkscrew is the best one I have ever found. Excellent quality, very user friendly, and really well priced!

My spouse and I drink a bottle of wine with dinner most every night, and have gone through several corkscrews. I never realized there was much of a difference between them until on vacation a couple of years ago we had a bottle but no opener, and bought this one out of necessity. We have used it exclusively ever since. It is without a doubt the sturdiest, most reliable opener out there. Works like a charm every time. After opening probably the 200th bottle or so with it tonight without flaw, I felt compelled to come on to Amazon just to give it a review. A must have for any wine lover!

Even as better ways of closing a wine bottle rise to

the top of the bottle, a wine-lover still needs to

pull an occasional cork.

This rubber cushioned, widely used corkscrew is the

easiest, most convenient way to do it. Its grip is

comfortable, the screw penetrates cork easily and

the all-important two-step lever allows almost

anyone to muscle the cork out of the neck. It also

slips easily into a pocket and is cheap and light.

One evidence of this device's popularity is that it

is frequently chosen to be imprinted with a winery

name and given away as a premium in the wine trade.

This product was purchased for work. I'm a server and do Wine Service at least ten times a night. Everytime I atempted to use this, it split the cork, the screw part is very thick. The handle is uncomfortable in my hand and it is the WORST wine key I have ever used. I tried giving it to someone after I got another from a Wine Rep and no one would even TAKE it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

While my wife and I use a Screwpull pocket model (Screwpull Pocket Model Corkscrew, Black) most of the time, there are bottles that are easier to open with a lever-type corkscrew, so we keep one of these handy. The Pedrini is nicely designed. The lever is the right length, holds the lip of the bottle, and it's well-made. In fact, we like Pedrini's bar ware generally. We even use their shot glasses for our espresso machine.
