These arrived in good condition and are as described, but they do seem rather flimsy, and would be easy to break, so a warning to other customers. My parents had cork mats which were as stiff as a board, so they are obviously not as well made.
I didn't get these to be used as placemats I wanted to created a protective surface for a side table I have in the kitchen. So, they meet my need very well, though as another reviewer said, they are on the thinner side and might not hold up over time if used as placemats. Overall, though, I am happy with my purchase.
