Although this is a great piece of wood, it was not what I thought I was buying. It was advertised as cherry wood, but when I got it the wrapper said "Select Northern Hardwoods". Neither the picture or the narrative let me know it had feet, which meant I could effectively only use one side of it. Even with Amazon's generous offer to discount, the unexpected disappointments, along with the still-hefty price, were too much for me to keep it. It was returned. The only thing I ever have returned to Amazon.
Just got this board new from Amazon yesterday. I like the size and quality, but I'm not at all happy with the wood pattern on the board. It looks like they took a bunch of scrap chunks of wood and glued them together. Nothing like the nice pattern shown in the picture. I've never seen an end grain cutting board as sloppy as this one. You can tell that absolutely no thought was put into the positioning of the wood. Definitely not a board I would be proud to showcase in my kitchen.
