My wife and I spent a great deal of time looking for a knife like this before we came across this one. She wanted a long carving knife with a serrated edge blade, which seems to be a bit hard to find. A straight edge seems to be more popular, or perhaps technically better, but she had been using a serrated edge carver for years and didn't want to monkey with things.

The knife has a solid construction , cuts well, and cleans easily. The knife is light and feels generally balanced when in use. The Fibrox handle offers a solid grip, and it's plasticy construction is what gets the knife its NSF certification. Last, but certainly not least, the knife is backed by the Victorinox Lifetime warranty.

At the end of the day this knife serves a specialty purpose for us and performs its job well. We're quite happy with the purchase and we think anyone looking for the same things we were will be happy as well.
