This is my second pair--these things are worth their price and are of solid quality. Given their sturdy build (they cut through small bones from birds, etc., with ease), and multiple functions (bottle opener, grips on the interior handle to wrench out corks, etc.), I reach for these guys about as much as I do my knives when in the kitchen. A big bonus is that these are "come-apart" shears, which makes cleaning a cakewalk.

Not great, but not too expensive either. I prefer the Farberware 4-in-1 Ultimate Shears, but they cost more and my wife misplaced mine. I bought these then found the others, so I can compare. These are less ergonomic, particularly for my large hands, and they are made of a noticeably thinner metal. On the positive side, they stay sharp and they have a notch that facilitates cutting things like rose stems.
