Kleve's longest chef knife is an 8". This rod should have been made longer to accommodate that. Otherwise it's well made. I could instantly feel the difference vs. my aging cheaper honing steel there's more "resistance" with Kleve and you can also "hear" it working. I have Kleve knives so I thought it made sense. Worth it if you get it cheap (like ~$9 I got here).
