I had read previous reviews of some people saying the cutting board feels rough and they want to sand it. My husband and I noticed that when it gets wet, that some of the wood grains do raise up and it feels a little rough, but once it dries, it's still pretty smooth. So there is nothing wrong with it. It's a natural wood product, so you should expect things like this. My husband and I give it a thumbs up!
