J.A Henckels International 3-Piece Classic Starter Set

These are pretty good knives, I have some of these and Henckels Pro-S,Wusthof classic,Calphalon, Ivo, Mundial, and custom. While the craftsmanship isn't as good as the much more expensive Pro-s or Wusthof classic, they are every bit as sharp and do hold their edge almost as well. For the money these are really good, the others are almost twice the cost and these are a nice middle ground, much better than even expensive chinese made forged Calphalon for similar money. The only other knives in their price point that are comparable are Mundial 9100 series from Brazil or Ivo from Portugal(which are really hard to find in the US). Hand wash them and they should last a lifetime, I've had mine for 6 years and they still look new. The only issue I have with these is they are a little heavy and thick which isn't an issue for most of the knives but the boning knife or filet knife in this line are almost worthless because there is no flex even compared to the German knives let alone the French knives.

My boyfriend has had the Henckels classic knives for several years now they are fantastic. You can cut through anything like butter. These were a gift for my mom and they shipped fast around the holidays.
