I love this product. I bought it for cutting a cheesecake and mousse cake. It gives great clean slices, but you do have to wipe it clean between slices, as you would do with a knife. I didn't pay attention to the length of the wire when I ordered it and it was really long. I used wire cutters, cut the wire and made it my desired length and am very very happy with it.
Too large for most home cook's use. Probably best suited for commercial (restaurant) usage.

Seems a quality USA made product. Looks like it is made in SC. The wood toggles are a bit large. The story goes that "cheese cutters" inspired SOE in terms of using a cutter style garrote in WW2. Would these work for that? Dunno. But...you can display them with a collection of weaponry and it is close enough.
