It cuts very well, meat and that includes your fingers if you aren't careful but the brads aren't flush with the wood of the handle. The blade is truncated and too short. See that big design curve at the hilt? Well that area should still be the blade. That curve serves no purpose. On a tight budget these will do nicely, no rusting or dulling yet but I wouldn't give them as a gift or buy more from this maker.
