for 8 bucks, you won't do better. sharp, well formed, follows cuts well, comfortable in the hand. much, much better than the 4" zyliss.can't attest to longevity yet, but the other low end messermeister knives i've used that have the same steel stay reasonably sharp for about a year, as long as you don't abuse them on hard surfaces.
