John Boos 18 by 12 by 1.5-Inch Reversible Cherry Cutting Board

This cutting board deserves a five-star rating. I was surprised to see it only had one other mediocre review, but I am glad I took a chance on it. My mother had previously purchased the same board by John Boos made of Walnut, and the quality impressed me enough to buy one of my own.

The board is thick, of excellent quality, and has beautiful hues in the wood. It's pretty obvious this board was made to last a long time, and I couldn't be happier. A very solid investment and addition to my kitchen!

The cutting board seemed to have been planed with either a dull planer blade or run through way too fast. There was skipping on 3 of 6 sides. I used a block and 120, 150 & 220 grit to successfully fix it. Two hours work on something I thought would be ready to use.
