KitchenAid Candy Apple Red 12pc Stainless Steel Cutlery Set

This set has become my new favorite kitchen gadget. The knives are extremely well made, have a great ergonomic gripping and are beautifully designed. They work very well with our kitchen design as well. The knives cut through anything like butter and never dull or rust.There is a great variety in this set and for an amateur chef like myself, it is more than you will ever need. I have always loved kitchen aid products because they keep to their reputation of delivering quality at an affordable price.

I bought this product first because it carries the KitchenAid seal, and all of the other KitchenAid products I own are steller in performance, however this knife set does not have the same quality of their other products. I chose the candy apple red color because it looks great in my kitchen, but after less than a month of use the paint is chipping off on all the knife handles. The sleek look is gone and the cheaply made knives are exposed. Besides the paint chipping off the knives perform well. The smaller chef knife is perfect for me and is comfortable when chopping. The sharpness has held up well and little pressure is needed when cutting items. If it was not for the cheap paint on these kinfe handles, this would be a 5 star rating. KitchenAid needs to reevaluate this product and make changes because this item is a poor reflection of what KitchenAid produces.

This is the first knife set I've had, and it's been pretty good for the price. I've had them for about a year now. When they are brand new they are super sharp and amazing. Over time they get more dull even when you use the sharpening tool. If you don't mind sharpening them yourself a lot they stay decently sharp...but it takes time to figure out how to sharpen them well. (They recommend to sharpen twice on each side of the blade after every use).

There is only one serrated knife, so if you like those this would not be for you. Also, they are just one piece of metal, the red is just painted on.

The biggest problem I have with these are that the paint is starting to come off of the ends of the handels so they don't look as nice anymore. Just a few knives have some small chips in them, but theres nothing I can do about it.

I really do love the KitchenAid Candle Apple Red color bright and beautiful, how could you not love it! This is a great cutlery set too. I can be a snob in the kitchen, and this set not only meets my standards, but it is so pretty too!

It's got everything I need and they are sharp. Good quality. Which makes me not mind having to handwash them.

My only grouse is that the bread knife isn't the long type.

But I love everything else about it. Great colour too.
