Needed some knife guards for a culinary class. Didn't want to try to purchase a One Size Fits None solution. Read all the reviews on other types of knife guards. Seems that most were written by those who like to store their knives in a drawer. My teacher, a professional chef, recommended these as a useful, safe and inexpensive alternative. These are not only flexible, but they can be cut to size. Great price. They work great and fit the type of knife style I needed (8" Wusthof Chef's Knife). Makes the knife safe to transport. Would work fine in a drawer, but I find it hard to imagine putting my good knives in a drawerprotected or not. Ease of use for me is a wood knife block I mounted on the wall in a safe location. For school and transport to and from class this is great. Stick it in an inexpensive Craftsman plastic truck tool box (4"X16") and I am off to cook. No worry about it fitting, slipping out or buying a knife roll when I only need a few knives protected. Can't beat the price for safety. I am sure they will wear out (seam tape) after a while, but seems easy to fix and remedy. I am going to buy more for back-up.

Totally perfect. They don't move a single bit from the blades, easy to cut to customize the knife size. I also love that they do not take much more space than a knife alone while if you were to buy a wooden block, that takes up a lot of space.
