I'm not a chef so this is coming from a single guy who cooks for himself occasionally. I bought this set because I thought they would look great on my counter top. I was right! The knives cut and that's pretty much all I can ask of a knife. My only complaint is that the cutting board that came with the set warped the first time I got it wet. I managed to straighten it out by wetting it again and bending it the other direction.
I am very fond of cooking and baking I enjoy the luxury of having great products in my kitchen to ease the work at hand. I received the J.A. Henckels International block with some different styles of knives. My husband did purchase the block in which I was able to add and build, as you know the J.A. Henckles is quite expensive. After purchasing the "Boning Knife", I was not pleased with the sharpeness. The handle was a little smaller than expected ( put it like this my ring size is a 41/2) therefore I do not have a very big hand. I would try the higher end series. I hope this help.

This is a nice looking knife with a nice handle.Thin flexible blade.Fits the hand nicely and is well balanced but bottom line it disappointed me in the sharpness category.The initial edge wasn't evenly honed on both sides and was what I would consider dull.It required major honing to get it almost razor sharp but there are cheaper stamped knifes I have that will take a better edge. This knife is great, flexible and blade is narrow enough for efficient boning. Length of blade, flexibility, and width of blade is most important for a good boning knife
This was a gift for Christmas so I cannot rate its durability. The price was in my range and the quality certainly looked nice.

After an exhaustive search for the best cookware set for my money, I came across this set by BergHOFF. My mother bought a stainless copper clad set while IN Belgium 25 years ago and I must say this is the closest thing to it...exceeds All-Clad, etc. I've used most of the pieces this weekend and what a joy it is to have cookware that heats evenly AND fast. Nothing sticks and cleanup is easy. (Be warned that all stainless saute pans will blue a bit at high heat, it's what they're for. This is easily remedied with a quick swipe of stainless cleaner.) These are exactly as described. Very nice and heavy, great handles. Lids are so so but should not preclude you from buying these. Just to be sure we burned the heck out of the saute' pan the first night...they retain heat quite well! UPDATE... 11/4/2012... The handles on the "PREMIUM" lids are now getting hot too and the non-stick skillets are now sticking... after 3 weeks of leaving messages and emails their warranty department said there is nothing they can do... what kind of warranty is this? I will not be buying this brand again.

This knife has a soft handle. very comfortable for people with carpal tunnel problem. It is very sharp to cut meat, chicken, fruits and vegetables like potatoes, carrots etc. It does not cut vegetables with hard skin like watermelon.

I've had two of these knives about 1 1/2 years now. I use them almost every day for peeling and trimming produce. They're still sharp and have never yet needed sharpening. I'm an average-size woman, and I love the size and curvature of the blade and the handle size and shape. I find it very comfortable to use, with great control and very little fatigue. This little knife is very handy. It is sharp and little and peals things easily. It came in a package/card. It came in time and as expected. This was a good deal.
When I received this knife I examined it very closely and noticed a few imperfections on it. The first is a very small extra piece of metal on one of the serrations which I'm sure could be taken care of with a gentle bit of sharpening. The next is the handle and how there is a slight gap between the wooden handle and the tang of the knife on one side. These imperfections don't upset me though because for 20 dollars it is a really good knife, and I plan on using the heck out of it anyways. The point of balance seems to be where the serrations begin on the blade and the handle feels very sturdy.
