Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Signature sets had no three rivet design on the handle as the picture shown, no steel through the handle, therefore the weight is much less than the 8" one I bought before-paid over $100.00. You get what you pay for that's for sure!

Edit: they are very sharp! it's the lighter weight I have to get comfortable with it! I've changed form two star to three star.

These knives are SHARP. They slice through anything you can throw at them with virtually no effort. Use extra caution. They are amazing to work with in the kitchen. Well balanced, well crafted. The blades have kept an edge for months now, even though I sometimes catch myself using the paring knife as a utility boxcutter on occasion.

I bought two sets of knives for Christmas gifts after doing a lot of research about the company and the quality of their knives. These are one of the higher end products. I understand that the knives cut so easily it is like cutting through butter. They are a great gift that will last a very long time. I would recommend these knives to young couples and those who have had their old sets for so many years they barely cut anything and it is time to replace them.
