Its to install easy install, they don't send screws with it you have to buy your own but that is because not all applications are the same so I understand, it also is a nice looking magnet and what I like most is its all one solid piece with no metal ridges like I've seen other magnet holders have.

I love the clean lines of this magnetic knife holder. It was easy to install and holds the knives in our trailer even as we drive on bumpy roads. I would recommend this item to anyone.

It's hard to tell the quality of a featureless black bar by looking at pictures. This one is light, flimsy and wobbles against the wall. I wish I'd held out for something stainless.
