As a knife collector and user, I always keep at least one honing rod/bar in the kitchen. sometimes when there's no time for a full stone sharpening of any knife, a honing bar does the job. This one is by far the best I have ever had. It must be the damascus layers of metal that bring the edge to the knives, whatever it is, it's the best!!
